One person walking the talk is Sue Hadden, which started her third year as owner and promoter of the Vermont Museum of Mining and Minerals in Grafton VT. I just put a mineral & lapidary display in the museum. This display consisted of items from the Wise Mine project (1994 to 2003) and the Tripp Mine (2004 to now). This museum and ones like it are needed more than ever.  They awaken there local communities populace and its visitors to the area’s past and present mining heritage which is being forgotten and ignored.  This Museum is a progression of Sue’s mineral passion that she is generously sharing. Hopefully the museum will become a focal point for the South West NH & South East VT. mineral community to also share its mineral passion thru its support.
The Vermont Museum of Mining and Minerals is located in a lovely area of VT  & NH,  just the ride to Grafton VT is worth going to the museum. The museum is free and donations are welcomed. So if you are planning on attending the Gilsum Rock Swap (Gilsum NH, 6/27-28/09) also check out the museum which is just a short drive from Gilsum.

About the Tripp mine 2009 operation. We are progressing along. The clean up task is completed. We are in full 2009 mining mode now. My next blog will bring the mining effort up to date.
That is it for now
